This is a reactive load + power amplifier for using a tube amplifier at home.
 
This is especially valuable for those who have tried other attenuators or dummy loads with power amplifiers but were disappointed with the muffled / degraded sound.
 
It is similar to a Fryette Powerstation, in that it reamps the amp tone through a transperant power amp, that retains tone of the original signal, but at a lower volume. This product is only able to reamp up to 3watt, which is plenty at home for reducing your volume. But it doesn't provide the same use case as the Fryette for increasing the volume of small 1-5watt tube amps to gig levels.
 
The other great thing is that this product takes common 9V power, with 200mah minimum at reduced power, and 500mah minimum for the full 3 watts of reamping power.
 
Volume control using semiconductors instead of wire-wound volume controls. Eliminates electrical and mechanical stress, improving reliability and precision.

OPERATION
 
POWER: Power switch
INPUT GAIN: Adjust the input gain from From Amp. Set it in a range where the peak indicator (blue) does not light up.
SPK VOL: Adjusts the speaker (cabinet) volume.
 
Mode
REA (Reactive Load): A pseudo-load mode that responds similarly to a speaker. Avoids high-frequency drop and produces sound quality similar to that of a direct connection between the amplifier and speaker.
DL (Dummy Load): Conventional resistive load mode. Similar to a traditional attenuator. Depending on the amplifier, it may produce a mellower sound quality leaning towards the midrange.
 
High: The load response increases in the order of 1-2-3 to prevent treble drop (enabled in REA mode). If the effect is not enough, you can adjust the sensitivity via the internal switch.
 
The Z-Emulator effect is output to SPK OUT and LINE OUT.
